Wow! A million thanks to Jenna @ Bookmark Your Thoughts for nominating me for the Real Neat Blog award! I’m so flattered to be thought of and I would CERTAINLY return the favor if I could 😉 Check Jenna out if you have a chance; her blog truly is *real neat*!
So, here are the rules:
Thanks to other real neat folks before me who did the research I can thank Dear Kitty, Some Blog for creating this!
↠ Thank the blogger who nominated you and post a link to their blog.
↠ Answer the questions of the one who nominated you.
↠ Nominate some bloggers.
↠ Ask them seven questions.
What name have you always wanted to have, other than your own?
I went through a phase where I was enamored with the name Lydia. I thought it was so elegant and delightful– and still do!– but I also really love the spunk and bubble that comes along with Maggie, plus I get the bonus regality (if that’s a word?) and elegance of also being a Margaret!
What is your favorite type of character?
This is a guilty pleasure for SURE, but I am a sucker for the sassy best friend who marches to the beat of her own drum but also does NOT let the MC get away with anything stupid without fully explaining the consequences. The Judy Greer, if you will!
What holiday do you look forward to most every year?
Thanksgiving! I’ve mentioned on my blog before that I am a church musician, so holidays like Christmas and Easter, while incredibly joyful, also bring a lot of stress. Thanksgiving is really my opportunity to relax and connect with my family and also eat ALL. THE. FOOD.
What type of blog post do you enjoy writing the most?
For a while, I was doing the Down the TBR Hole weekly challenge from Lia at Lost in a Story, which I LOVED. It was very cathartic to clear out my Goodreads TBR list, and it also motivated me to read some of the books that have been on there for, like, ten years….. I haven’t done one in a while, so I guess of the posts I currently write they’d be reviews! Reviews are what got me started in blogging, and I still love cataloging my thoughts.
If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, which would it be?
Don Quixote. That was probably the most enjoyable book I’ve ever read, and I’m also going to allow myself the loophole of reading multiple translations of the same book! Muahahahaha!
If you could interview any author, who would you choose?
Gosh, this question has stumped me! I think I’d choose Min Jin Lee. Pachinko was so illuminating and captivating and I’d love to know more about her as a writer and an individual and her motivation to write it.
The cutest animal in the world is….?
Bear cubs. All day. Maybe this comes from a childhood love of Little Bear or maybe it’s just a fact, but either way, I will forever love bear cubs.
